Airplanes are magic. I know science isn't magic, but the whole thing seems too good to be true. I just flew from Newark to Los Angeles, across the country, in only six hours. That's pretty fucking impressive. That's magic. There is one thing about airplanes that aren't quite magic and that is the seating. It is so uncomfortable. It is such a small place to be seated constantly for over four hours. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat, you can lean your head on the wall and try to sleep. Until it starts bumping you all over the place. If you are in the middle, you are cramped in-between two people. You can't spread out and stretch because you'll bump the people next to you. The aisle seat is awesome. You can get up whenever you want. the only issue is being trampled over by the other people next to you. My seat today was totally okay. It was a great flight. My one issue was having a little baby behind me screaming and kicking my chair. I didn't want to tell the baby off. She didn't know any better. I didn't want to bother the mom, her life seemed brutal as is. So I sat and dealt with it and it turned into a funny story. Los Angeles is just as refreshing as it always is. it is so different from NYC. I love NYC. I love that it is dirty, scary and packed full of people. There is so much character to shoving millions of people on one small island. Los Angeles seems so spread out and everyone seems happy. I'm all for happiness but where's the character here? There is the occasional hippie but there is no miserable business man coming from Wall Street. Maybe I need to be here longer to experience it. Sorry for the late post. All the travel was energy consuming, but we made it! Have a solid weekend and tell your mom you love her!
