Mostly Moved In!

Today is my fifth full day being moved into my new apartment. Time is flying! I feel like I just left Cooperstown. I hope it continues to fly. It’ll be December before I know it! I’m starting to adjust to my new environment and back into city life. The first night was quite startling. My apartment is on the fifteenth floor (last year I was on seven), so now my window isn’t blocked by a building. That means light shines through like a motherfucker. I woke up thinking someone threw a Russian flashbang into my room! Cooperstown is quite peaceful at night. There aren’t ambulances, fire trucks, ice cream trucks, or people deciding 6:00 AM is the best fucking time to start jackhammering. I took the silence and crickets for granted. To report back with some good news, my apartment is fucking awesome. I’ve had in my head what it was going to be like for a while. I knew it would roughly be the same as Fritz and my apartment from freshman year, obviously minus Fritz's stuff. I don’t think Fritz had a ton of stuff, but this room feels humongous for one person. It is really cool living two doors down from where I was my freshman year. I totally forgot what the elevator situation was like from up here. Two years ago I sat in a floor meeting in this room, and now I’m holding the floor meeting in this room! This room is my room! It's like a full circle moment, but I still have a year left after this. So, it is like a circle decided to close early and keep on going. Is that considered a loop-de-loop? Loopy loop? Lopity loop? I have no idea how to spell that. I mean a rollercoaster kind of loop. My residents start moving in tomorrow morning. They'll be showing up throughout the weekend. I love the peace and quiet of basically having the floor to myself, but I’m excited to have some life and energy around. It's weird having to do stuff again. I had almost two months of doing only what I wanted to do. Now I am on a schedule someone else made for me. I have to wake up tomorrow (which is now probably considered today) and Sunday pretty early. I’m finished with week one of training. One to go! Then it’ll be back to school. I still have to figure out my work situation. I have a SodaStream in my room. I have drinken… Drank? Drinked? What the fuck is going on today? Are any of those right? You know what I mean. I have consumed so much seltzer water since I got here. It is water’s fun eccentric brother. I’m loving it! I’m listening to Audrey Hobert’s new album. I have no official statement on it yet. My thoughts and feelings are “to be determined.” I’m ready for fall weather. I want to comfortably wear pants and a sweatshirt. I just hung up the rest of my sweatshirts. I think I have a problem. What is a cream? And how do you put them on? I’ve got to get some rest. See you within the next little bit! See Kendall, I never said anything about being late or anything of the sort! Fuck! I just did! Happy Friday!
