Today is my first day back to work after an eleven day break. I haven’t gone a weekend since September without being at work at least one day. It was great to not have any responsibilities for eleven days. One of those days I was on duty as an RA, but besides two lockouts, it was very chill. I’m not sure what I missed, but there is a different energy in the city. I’m not sure if it is everyone or just the people at Ralph Lauren. Almost everyone is smiling and floating around in bright colors. I’m so used to the darker, moodier tones from the holiday season. It could also just be that the weather is perfect. I like seeing the correlation between the weather and people’s mood. This winter was terrible, so I understand why everyone is excited. The weather has been bipolar though. One day it is hot. The next day will be windy and cold. Again, pick a struggle! The Ralph Lauren women’s collection fashion show was yesterday, which also brings good morale to the building. We are celebrating my mom’s birthday tonight. I can’t remember the last time my whole family sat down for a nice dinner together. Everyone is all over the place now, so someone is always missing. I’m very excited. We have reservations at The Polo Bar. I’ve never been before, but everyone at work has seemingly gone at some point. I feel that it’s an important development in my Ralph Lauren career. Everyone is telling me what I should get, but I’m not sure yet. I’ll make a last minute decision. I’ll include a small review as a part of my next post. I don’t mind being back at work. I missed my work family. I have so much to catch up on and so much tea to dish out. Andre is joining the family after dinner for drinks, which will be a blast. I went to the gym this morning. Someone dumped about four hundred ninety-five gallons of eucalyptus oil in the steam room’s intake. I can taste it in every breath I take. I can’t tell if I like it or not. I’m not a fan of my strawberries tasting like eucalyptus though. I had half a rotisserie chicken and strawberries for lunch. I’m trying to eat a lot more, which is really hard for me. I feel like I’m forcing things down my throat. Other times I could eat drywall, I’m so hungry. Weird feeling for sure. I found out there is a golf simulator that is only twenty-five dollars after 9:00 PM. My dad is bringing my clubs down for me. I can’t wait to get into the metaphorical kitchen and start cooking. It’ll be a pretty busy weekend, but I’m here for it! Maybe I’ll get some more Fortnite in with my friends too. We have the Sabrina skin now, which adds a new element of fun. That sounds so messed up if you don’t know Fortnite. Whatever! Happy Friday everyone!
