I Had An MRI

I've never been injured before. I play golf and I try my best to calculate the risk of getting hurt before I do anything. I might burn my fingers or stub my toe, but nothing ever serious. Having a ER doctor as a dad makes getting hurt or sick very different. He sees everything on a daily basis. Even if I think I'm dying, he knows better and no hospital visit is necessary. Growing up I never had to go to the hospital, unless of course I was hanging out with my DAWG (my dad). I had to get shots at the school nurse from time to time but that can't possibly count. Last February, I had my first ever run in with the ER. Of course it had to happen on a night with my dad working. I never thought I'd still be facing the repercussions of playing varsity basketball this long past the season ending. I originally thought I just sprained my ankle and all would be fine in a couple weeks. That is what happened. I thought I was fine three weeks later. I was even so confident in my healing abilities that I went on a golf trip and walked 150 miles while carrying a golf bag. I think that confidence is why I had to get an MRI today. I don't think I let myself fully heal before exerting my ankle at the highest extent. MRIs are really really cool though. The noises it makes, the amount of magnetic power, and the people who operate it. It was a cool experience. It hurt like a motherfucker because of the position they put my ankle in, but nonetheless it was a positive experience. I want to put the images it generated on a tee shirt. I think that'd look cool. Happy Wednesday!
