Into The Future...

I wonder if the people who made “The Jetsons” actually thought that was what the future would look like. Did they know it was a bit exaggerated, or did they think we’d be a multi-planetary species with flying cars? Did the people who made “Back to the Future” really think that we’d have hoverboards that worked flawlessly by 2015? I’m not really sure what I imagine for the world's future. A bunch of naysaying scientists think we won't even be here that far into the future. While it’s hard to disagree with science, I have bits of hope for our planet. All these sustainable people at FIT will definitely extend our planet’s lifetime for an extra day or so. My reason for writing this post is to talk about whatever the fuck Elon Musk just announced either yesterday or the day before. Did you guys see that shit? It’s fucking crazy! No, not his speech at the Trump rally, that’s a different crazy than what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the new Tesla products they announced, but more specifically, the robots. People always mention robots as being too futuristic, but this Tesla robot is really cool. It can do laundry, bring in the groceries, play board games, and so much more. Imagine getting pissed off at a robot because it beat you at Monopoly. These robots are going to be between twenty and thirty thousand dollars. I’m guessing that means they won’t be in every household across America. They’ll be a wealthy person’s kind of toy. Hopefully, they become more accessible over time. I understand why people don’t like Elon Musk, but you can’t deny he is very smart and is trying to improve the world in his own way. Whether you agree or disagree with what he thinks is bettering the world is a different post in itself. I’m excited to see what he keeps doing. I’m sure this isn’t the last cool thing he will release. I’d love to see some of the founding fathers interacting with some of the technology we have nowadays. That would be hilarious. Thomas Jefferson seeing a Boeing 747. George Washington seeing a speedboat. Ben Franklin seeing a Tesla robot. All of these would be great! To think we went to the moon less than sixty years after we first flew an airplane is crazy. Now we have robots that will likely replace humans. Someone should make a robot that can withstand climate change. That fucker would live forever. My lunch break is nearing an end, so I hope you all enjoy your weekend. My bowl of chili might not sit well for the next four hours! I’m going to see a movie with Violet tonight before she leaves the city for the weekend. We are seeing the new Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield movie. I’m very excited! Happy Friday, everyone!
