Late Night Procrastination

I’m keeping this post quaint because I have a lot of work to do before midnight. It is 9:28 PM as I start writing. I just needed a break from doing homework. I don’t know if it’s considered burning out, but I really couldn’t care about class work lately. I procrastinated all week and didn’t do a single assignment. I have a couple of McGraw Hill Connect assignments that I completed, but I have a few more to go before they are all due at the end of the week. If you don’t know what those are—they are a pain in the ass, time-consuming, and just busy work. I also have a presentation due tonight at midnight. I have the layout done, I just need to put the information on the slides. That means I’ve done the easy part, but still have the time-consuming part to go. I had a pretty busy day today. Back-to-back classes, followed by a meeting with my supervisor and a trip to the gym. I ate another whole rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods. My stomach and head hurt—I don’t know if that’s the chicken, though. I think it’s my body telling me not to do any more work and to turn it in late. I have a great track record with not turning in late work. I think I turned something in late once, and it wasn’t downgraded because it was only twelve minutes late. I love when professors make work due at 11:59 PM the night after class. I have a professor that has it due at 9:00 PM the night before class. My work will just be worse at 9:00 PM than if I had an extra three hours. She’s trying to get us to do work in advance. I’m not that type of student lately. I remember feeling the same way this time last year. I haven’t had my Spring Break yet—maybe that will give me a refresh. Maybe I’m just a burnt-out kind of person. I have a short fuse and require a break every other week. Schools should look into that. I’ll see you Wednesday with a week update. Hopefully I get this work grinded out and turned in. I really need to get better about putting things off. It’s getting embarrassing! Happy Monday everyone!
