Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for taking time out of your holiday to read this! It's going to be a quick post so I can get back to hanging out with my family (including Violet). This Christmas certainly meant more to me than some of the past few Christmases. Ever since college started, I've started valuing time with my family way more. Not that I didn't value it before, but I definitely took it for granted. Being away for weeks at a time makes me really miss home. I've become codependent with Violet too, so that doesn't help my case. Ever since my grandma died Christmas feels very different. I remember the first Christmas without her being so weird. Now it's the 3rd Christmas without her and it's still weird. I think this Christmas will stick out to me for many years to come. I got some really meaningful gifts from my parents. One was a customized WTF. Studios book filled with my art. Getting it made me really feel like my parents believe in me and what I can do. The other present was a full collection book of Virgil Abloh's time at Louis Vuitton. When Virgil died that really bummed me out. He was just getting started at Louis Vuitton. There was so much more to come. Virgil is the reason I go to FIT. I know that's really cliche and part of my hates myself for saying that, but it's true. He said before he died that he designs everything for his seventeen year old self. That always struck my heartstrings. I'm 18 now, but when I got into FIT, I was 17. I want to design for myself now. These presents really made me happy. I was also so happy to custom design boxes and gifts for Violet and my dad. Violet hasn't opened it yet as I'm writing this, but I'm so excited. Anyway, I hope you're holiday season was amazing and you continue to enjoy it. Happy Holidays!
