There's few people I'd take a bullet for. I think there are only five people that currently exist. It'd be eight if we were about twenty years in the future. One of them is my Momma. I love my momma so much. When people ask if I'm a momma's boy, the immediate answer is HELL FUCKING YEAH I AM! My momma is cool as shit. She straight up created me. That's the highest form of design. Making a human is nuts. The finest French designers , like Christian Dior, couldn't even birth a child. Anyway, this post is to highlight how much of a trooper my momma has been this weekend at Camp Flog Gnaw. For those who don't know what it is, look that shit up. I'm not wasting my time explaining a music festival that is run by Tyler, The Creator in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium that hasn't happened since 2019 because of Covid and was headlined by SZA and The Hillbillies. My momma, or as I call her Jean, is not a crazy fan of my taste in music. She listens to The Lumineers and I listen to Tyler, The Creator mad Baby Keem. It's very very different. Jean is so great about understanding how people have different tastes and she has the ability to try it out without an immediate "NO!". I wish more people were like my momma. She tries everything. Honestly, I wish I was more like my momma. Trying new shit and learning creates great conversations. It's also just cool to know stuff about some random thing. I like doing that with sports. Find a friend who's really into a sport and learn about it. One of my best friends, Charlie, is really into basketball. Without Charlie I wouldn't know jack shit. Another one of my best friends, Treston, is really into F1 motorsport. Again, I'd know nothing if I didn't listen and ask questions. I guess I'm saying that you should ask questions. Whether it's sports or about Romanian hand painted ottomans. Back to how cool my momma is. She doesn't like my music, but she came across the country to accompany me to a music festival. In ninety-one degree, no cloud in the sky weather, there was no hiding from the sun. It was hot as shit. We must've spent 6 hours just standing in different kinds of lines and my momma never complained once. "Can we check out that booth with a 3 hour line for no reason?" and she always answered "Of course!" with a smile on her face. She even got involved with mosh pits during Tyler's set. She was bumping around with the best of them! On our four day trip, we spent almost twenty-four hours at the festival. It was constant standing and walking around. My momma was a trooper! After the first thirteen-hour day, my momma woke up at six o'clock and went on an eight mile hike! BAD ASS. An eleven hour day followed that hike. She's awesome. Anyway, I hope you guys get to meet my momma one day. You'd be lucky! Go hug your momma and tell her you love her. If you don't have a momma, go hug your dad, sister, brother, cousin, uncle, pet, turtle, wild animal, whatever you feel like hugging. Have a fucking fantastic rest of your Monday you beautiful people!
