Summer Is Coming!

Going to sleep on the last night of spring break and checking my phone to see that my first morning class was canceled is going to go down as a top five college moment. What a relief! It was an interesting weekend. Very busy and very hectic. For some reason, my allergies have been working double time, which made going to work a little more difficult. For the first part of the day on Saturday, it was really fucking hot in the store. The air conditioner didn’t turn on until roughly 4:00 PM. I was struggling up till that point. I felt nauseous. Once the air conditioner came on and I took a heap of medications, I felt much better. It was a busy holiday weekend. I was non-stop talking all day. It kind of sucked that the weather was so nice and I had to watch people enjoy it while I worked all day. I got to walk across the park after work. Over the winter, when it gets dark at 5:00 PM and is freezing out, nobody is in the park. It is also slightly sketchy at night. It feels like it did when I started working. I missed it so much. It was so great to see it alive again. I’m scared that the weather will go back to being shitty again, but I’m enjoying it while it lasts. We are so close to summer though. I didn’t realize, but we only have a little less than a month of school left. Some people are done in the next two weeks. That is fucking crazy. I remember last year when everyone was out of school and I still had two weeks left. It sucks! FIT has a terrible academic calendar. My professor in my second class today told us that instead of having us come in on May 19th, she is going to end the class a week earlier. I got so excited, but as I’m writing this, I realized I’ll still have my other class. I thought I’d get to go home for a little bit before closing the dorms for RA stuff. All good! I have the weekend of work off before, so I’ll still get to enjoy my last week here. I’m still figuring out what I am going to do for summer. I have gone back and forth. I need to talk to my boss before confirming. That will be news to write about soon!
