When Does Summer Really End?

I wrote a post about two weeks ago about how my summer was unfortunately (or fortunately) over. I’m not sure when most people consider their summer to be ending. Is it when you leave for school? Or when classes start? Or maybe something else happened, and your summer is just over? I don’t know what I consider to be the true ending of summer. I wrote that post because I was leaving for school, and it felt like the summer, as I knew it, was over. I was moving into my dorm, training was starting, and I couldn't play golf anymore. That felt like the summer was ending to me. A lot of people would tell you otherwise. Some people say the last day of summer was actually yesterday. Classes officially started today, so some people think that is the official summer killer. There were some Instagram posts celebrating the summer’s end last night, so maybe I am wrong. I know everyone’s summer ends at a different time. People move in at different times, people start classes at different times, and some people are frustrating and will say, “Max, scientifically, summer actually ends on September twenty-second.” I don’t like you people. September is the fall. Always has been, always will be. Don’t mess with me on those grounds. I don’t care about your science. Now that classes are starting, it makes last year look so long ago. I remember starting classes and being so freaked out about being in college. This year, it has felt extremely normal—more normal than the whole summer felt. I missed being in classes. I'm actually in class as I am writing this. So far, so good though! I’m not sure I’ll be able to write the same thing as we get later in the semester, so I’ll enjoy it while I can. I have a good amount of days off, but also a good amount of late-night classes. I have one day a week that is nine hours long. I’m not looking forward to that day. Wednesday is an awful day, always has been, always will be! I don’t really have too much to say today. Hopefully, something cool will happen this week so these blog posts don’t put someone to sleep.
