Why Did I Procrastinate?

I had some great big news to write about today. It was something very exciting, but that post will have to be delayed. I’m going to wait until my chicken has fully hatched and even starts laying other eggs itself. I do not want to count them before they hatch anymore. I’m learning! Usually, when I have a post planned, I block off that post and have it ready in the chamber. When I have it ready in the chamber and it’s not ready to fire, I have a hard time finding something new to write about. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t get past the original topic. That is exactly what happened today. I had to think of something, and I had to think of something quick! I find it very hard to think quickly on a very little amount of sleep. I went to bed around five o'clock last night doing homework. I had a class at nine and woke up at eight to finish my work. If you can do simple math, that's only three hours of sleep. I just don’t function off of that, especially if it is going into the busiest day of my week. Today has been brutal. I made it through my first class fine. Everything was going well. I got lunch with my friends, ate a Twix bar, and then took a survey to get a two-dollar bill. The misery hit right as I arrived at my second class—the class that had me up all night with a presentation and its accompanying five-page paper. I knew this class was going to be brutal going into it. I like the professor an awful lot, but because presentations were due, I knew it'd be three long hours of listening to them. Not the most exciting thing in the world, to be honest. After three presentations, I was starting to feel it. Then we went on a “field trip” to the archive section of the FIT museum for the next hour of class because it was the only time they were available. For most, this presentation in the archive is very cool. Which it is. It is very cool, but when you have seen it twice before and just want to get some shut-eye, it is a bit of a sleeper. I was daydreaming through the whole thing. Afterwards, we went back to the classroom and listened to one more presentation. We ended up getting out of class twenty minutes early. I thought I was blessed by little baby Jesus. I basically ran back to my room to take a nap before my third and final class of the day. Which is where I am now, post-nap. I had to wake up to write this before class so I didn’t have to do it at nine o'clock tonight. I want to be able to leave class and have the deepest slumber ever recorded. My point in writing about how badly I want to sleep is really to acknowledge how dumb I am. If you have three weeks to do an assignment, take the three weeks! Don’t start it at eleven o'clock the night before, dumbo! Happy Wednesday, everyone! See you when I wake up!
