Why I Love America

God bless America! The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I know it was yesterday, but the firework show in Cooperstown is tonight. I guess I wish the days lined up so I could’ve written this post on the actual holiday. I have a ton of reasons why the Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. One reason is totally just because it is the high point of the summer. It is just about halfway through the summer, but feels like the apex of it all. My main reason for loving the Fourth of July so much is the country’s pride. I love that everyone is out with their friends or family having a blast, celebrating our great country. The lake here was full of boats and people going tubing. The Country Club was filled with families hanging out. I think it is a very happy holiday. For this post, I really wanted to take out the negativity surrounding our country and the upcoming elections and just write about why I love our great country. Everyone is so quick to complain about how awful we are as a country. Everyone is divided and I think we lose sight of the greatest parts of our country. There is a reason people come from around the world to live here. I love our country’s pride. I love the melting pot we’ve created. I hate people who want to leave the country depending on who wins the presidency. That should be seen as treason! I know I’ve said this in a blog post before, but one of my favorite things about America is our military service people. I love all types of service people. That is some all-American shit. Americans are just fucking cool. How lucky are we?! Well, the fireworks are starting so I’m wrapping this post up quickly. Happy Fifth of July, baby! God bless America! Red, white, and blue! Happy Friday, everyone!
